The Holiday Inn Express Myrtle Beach - "Broadway at the Beach" is the newest addition to Pacrim Hospitality Services Inc. (PHSI) bringing the company's portfolio to 47 hotels throughout Canada and the United States, CEO Glenn Squires announced today.

The 114-room hotel was purchased by Holloway Lodging REIT on November 02, 2007. Holiday Inn Express Myrtle Beach is the 12th hotel owned by Holloway Lodging REIT which is managed by PHSI.

"Our PHSI team provides Holloway Lodging with proven and agile management expertise. PHSI has experience in the US market as we currently manage the Holiday Inn Express in Bonita Springs, Florida," Mr. Squires added.

It's been 20 years since the downtown Regina skyline has seen the addition of a new hotel but in November 2007 the multi-million dollar Wingate by Wyndham Regina will become part of the city's bustling downtown.

Glenn Squires, CEO of Pacrim Hospitality Services Inc. announced today that the seven storey, 118 room hotel under construction at the corner of Broad Street and Saskatchewan Drive will open in late fall as Wingate by Wyndham Regina, the third property in Canada to carry this flag. Pacrim Hospitality Services will manage the property and Mr. Squires indicated that experienced hotelier Laura Armitage has returned to her "second home", Regina as General Manager.

"Located in the heart of the city and adjacent to transportation hubs and major attractions, the Wingate by Wyndham Regina will become a choice for business and for leisure travel," Mr. Squires said. "Pacrim Hospitality Services is proud that this well appointed property is the first Saskatchewan hotel in our portfolio."

The hotel will offer guests double Queen, King rooms and King suites. There are two meeting rooms with capacity for seating more than 100 people, free high speed internet, whirlpool, fitness centre and a complimentary continental breakfast featuring hot items. "Those of us working on site to make this hotel a memorable experience are excited about what's taking shape here," Laura Armitage said. "Our objective is to offer each and every guest a comfortable stay, superior service and to demonstrate the heartland hospitality for which Regina and Saskatchewan are famous," she added.

The Wingate by Wyndham Regina is owned by RegWin Hotels Limited of Regina and is being developed by Superior Lodging Corporation of Calgary. It has a construction budget of $13 million and will employ approximately 30 people, primarily from the local area. RegWin Hotels President Harold Rotstein is enthusiastic about the Regina hotel indicating "it is a perfect fit for downtown Regina in every way; size, level of service and contemporary look complementing this growing area."

Superior Lodging Corporation has built sister properties carrying the Wingate by Wyndham brand in Calgary and Edmonton and specializes in the development of market-sensitive hotels. President Ian McAuley says that "research and market insights have been invested in this project to ensure it opens successfully and remains that way."

Pacrim Hospitality Services Inc. (PHSI) has made a major contribution toward ensuring the growth of the tourism and hospitality industry in Canada by coordinating the donation of more than $95,000 to Mount Saint Vincent University (MSVU) in Halifax. For six years the international hotel management company, based in Halifax, has brought industry partners together to raise the profile of careers in the tourism sector. Specifically, efforts center on attracting the best and brightest to the tourism industry through the MSVU Tourism and Hospitality Management Program.

The $95,500 donation brings the grand total that PHSI has donated to the MSVU tourism and hospitality program over six years to $214,000.

“A skilled and professional workforce is a key challenge facing the hospitality industry these days and is one that our company is committed to addressing,” said PHSI President and CEO, Glenn Squires “This is a great fit for us: MSVU’s tourism program is nationally recognized; we recruit and retain outstanding people every day. This partnership not only makes sense, it makes us very proud to help attract budding professionals to this very exciting industry.”

The primary fund-raising event is an annual golf tournament. Held on July 26, 2007 at Oakfield Golf and Country Club, the Pacrim Invitational attracted 144 golfers from, across Canada and the United States, many of whom are investors, partners and suppliers of PHSI. “The golf tournament and the auction which completes the day are tangible ways for those of us in hospitality to help the base upon which we all grow,” said Mr. Squires.

“A financial award can mean the difference between attending MSVU or not, or the difference between having to work and taking longer to graduate,” said MSVU President Kathryn Laurin. “Students tell us they are encouraged and supported by awards like those PHSI has endowed. PHSI’s support has bolstered the future success of these students and is helping to create the best university experience for each of them.”

The donation to date has resulted in two endowed scholarships and three awards that have so far benefited 19 MSVU tourism and hospitality students. 2007 partners and contributors include: ASG Financial Corp, Toronto, $5,000; Canaccord Adams, Toronto, $15,000; the Canadian Hotel Investment Conference also in Toronto, $25,000; Holloway Lodging Real Estate Investment Trust, Halifax, $10,000; Krise Commercial Real Estate, Fort Myers, Florida, $500 and Pacrim in Halifax, $40,000.

"It's been a long time coming...but it will be worth the wait." In August 2007, the completely renovated, redesigned and repositioned Best Western Hotel on Chocolate Lake will open adding a fresh hospitality approach to the metro Halifax market, Glenn Squires, President and CEO of Pacrim Hospitality Services Inc. announced today.

With 133 rooms, the majority overlooking Chocolate Lake, and nine suites, a full-service, casual dining room, bar, expanded meetings rooms, a ballroom and lakeside patio-and complete with a resident Chocolate Labrador Retriever named Cocoa-" the new hotel is a compliment to the unique urban lake area of Chocolate Lake," Mr. Squires said. Closed following extensive structural damage during Hurricane Juan, it has "taken time to find a comfortable niche" for this hotel primarily because of its prestige location. The Holiday Inn Hotel and Conference Centre Truro, a full-service hotel focused on becoming the meetings and convention centre of choice in central and northern Nova Scotia, is well on schedule to open in October 2007. The 114 room hotel results from a major $4 million renovation to the former Howard Johnson hotel at 437 Prince Street in Truro and will launch its Holiday Inn life as a 100 percent smoke free property.

Pacrim Hospitality Services Inc. (PHSI) of Halifax manages the hotel. "Truro and surrounding area have a thriving business community and hospitality industry and as the Hub of Nova Scotia will benefit from an efficient and tastefully renovated hotel complete with many unique amenities," PHSI President and CEO, Glenn Squires said today. "With 10,000 square feet of multi-purpose meetings and function space the new Holiday Inn can accommodate dinners for up to 400 people or meetings of 25 participants. We believe this hotel offers Truro new opportunities to build its reputation as a meetings centre and will help support its tourism base," Mr. Squires said.

Complete with 12 executive guestrooms, two suites designed for honeymooners, two completed accessible rooms and an extended stay suite, free high speed internet and On-Command movie television the new Holiday Inn Hotel and Conference Centre is "a great example of a hotel built with the needs and comforts of a changing guest foremost in mind," said General Manager Susan Scharpegge.

In total, 80 staff members will be employed at the Holiday Inn Hotel and Conference Centre Truro.
